Honors version / section

  • The prerequisite for ECE 303 is either ECE 323 (Electronics I) or ECE 353 (Computer Systems Lab I).

  • If at all possible, ECE 303 should be taken during the same semester as either ECE 324 (Electronics II) or ECE 354 (Computer Systems Lab II), as these are the prerequisites for ECE 415 (Senior Design Project I). In other words, ECE 303 is not simply a requirement that a student should fulfill as soon as possible or when they don't have other courses to take. Rather, ECE 303 should be taken in the semester just prior to taking ECE 415. Thus, if a student has Junior or Senior status, but is not ready to take ECE 324 or ECE 354, then they should not take ECE 303.

  • If a student plans on postponing Senior Design Project for a year, e.g., because they are taking the fall semester off for a co-op, then they should also postpone taking ECE 303 for a year.

  • Interested students who are still PR-ENGIN majors must fill out an Override Request Form and take it to the Undergraduate Programs Office. (Location can be found under Advising Resources.)
