  • Either PHYS 151 or PHYS 181 can be used as the prerequisite for PHYS 182.

  • BS-CSE and BS-EE majors may use PHYS 182 to fulfill their PHYS 152 graduation requirement, but only if they also take PHYS 261 (General Physics III), PHYS 284 (Modern Physics I), or PHYS 287 (Physics III - Waves & Thermodynamics) as their Thematic elective.   • PHYS 182 is designed for Physics and Astronomy majors, so the breadth of topics is reduced (as compared to PHYS 152), and the depth of coverage is increased.
