What to Do Before Starting the Program

  • 1 Participate in Pre-Sessional Events
  • 2 Pay Your Tuition and Fees
  • 3 Check Technology Requirements
  • 4 Review Housing Options

Prior to beginning your program, there will be several pre-sessional events for you to attend to help familiarize yourself with the program.

Please check back again soon for a full list of upcoming pre-sessional events.

Make your payment in full at least one week before you arrive to help avoid delays with enrollment.

Before you begin, please make sure you have your acceptance letter in front of you, as you will need to refer to the information in the letter. Choose between two ways to submit payment for tuition and fees:

    • Flywire by Peer Transfer: Please visit UMass Amherst’s Flywire portal to complete the transfer process. Please note that you can NOT use a U.S. credit card or U.S. bank account.
    • Wire Transfer: Find the wire transfer information on your offer letter. When making the transaction, be sure to include the student’s name and birthday.

    Spring 2018 intake will be paid in two installments: 25K by December 22, 2017 and the remaining 20K by August 21, 2018. December 22, 2017: $25,000 August 21, 2018: $20,000

Confirm your laptop, computer and/or tablet meet our suggested technology requirements.

Our recommendations and minimum system requirements are meant to provide general guidelines on which computer configurations work best in the UMass Amherst computing environment. Check our technology requirements here.

  • Housing is not offered through the MS ECE Live program. Please contact your advisor with any housing questions or concerns.
